Dr. Kevin. Rod

CHIEF MEDICAL ADVISOR

Dr. Kevin Rod is a certified Family Physician with focused practice in chronic pain management. He is credentialed in Chronic pain by the Canadian and American Academies of Pain Management. He established Toronto Poly Clinic as a multidisciplinary pain management center in 2001. Today, Toronto Poly Clinic has grown into four clinics in North York, Downtown Toronto, Thornhill, and Vaughan. These clinics are active in areas of clinical work, research, and medical education. Medical students, Residents, and Fellows are trained in Toronto Poly Clinics in affiliation with their programs at the University of Toronto. Dr. Rod is experienced in acting as Medical Investigator and consultant for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. He has provided comprehensive Insurance Medicine evaluations for many years. Dr. Rod uses this experience to direct the assessment activities in Toronto Poly Clinic. He is an active member of the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators and the American Academy for Disability Evaluating Physicians. Dr. Rod has a special interest in developing new formulation and delivery methods for targeted cannabinoid treatments. He has developed research and educational programs in this area. Dr. Rod is currently collaborating with multiple major universities on medical cannabis-related research and development projects.

Peter O’Rourke

Peter O’Rourke has served in senior executive roles in both the public and private sector with over 25 years of transformation, operations, marketing, and leadership experience. Peter brings a highly diverse set of skills in building high performance teams and innovating in demanding environments. Peter was appointed by President Trump as Acting Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2018. He also served as the Department’s Chief of Staff and stood up the Office of Accountability and Whistleblower Protection as established by President’s Executive Order and the bipartisan VA Accountability Act. Peter is a veteran having honorably served in two services in uniform as a U.S. Navy enlisted Airman, Air Force Officer and Logistician, and Army senior civilian. In the 2012 Presidential election cycle, Peter led Strong America Now, a non-profit advocacy group, hat focused on bringing efficiency and innovative solutions to federal and state governments. Peter held leadership roles in management consulting, private equity, aerospace, and operations companies with experience in sales, marketing, operations, finance, and performance improvement. Peter graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and from the United States Air Force’s Institute of Technology with a Masters of Science in Logistics & Supply Chain Management. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
